Famously known as the “2 for 1 Tour to Chichen Itza,” this adventure starts with a late pick up at most hotels in Cancun, some hotels in Riviera Maya, and some pick up locations around the Yucatan. The actual tour starts around 10:00 a.m. in an air conditioned bus with services and spacious seats for a comfortable ride. A professional bilingual guide (Spanish/English) will entertain you with a description of the local culture and history of the area to prepare you for one of the most amazing tours in the whole world.

The tour begins with a bus tour of the Colonial Town of Valladolid, one of the first towns founded by the Spanish conquerors. You will see the main plaza, the Baroque cathedral and several centuries old haciendas.

The tour continues with your first visit of the day to the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza, a New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the essence of the Mayan culture. A professional guide will take you around and give you a complete of the Mayan ruins including the Observatory, the Ball Park, the Cenote, the Monastery and of course, El Castillo the main pyramid and masterpiece of architecture and engineering.

After your visit to Chichen Itza, we will give you a break to catch your breath at the refreshing Ecological Park of Ik-Kil where you can enjoy the local flora and fauna of the area. Here you will be able to admire the Mayan folk art which is cherished around the world for its creativity, color, and textures. Souvenirs and gifts such as calendars, huipiles (women dresses), guayaberas (men dress shirts), hamacas (hammocks), and zarapes (blankets) capture Yucatan’s versatile landscape, culture, and people.

For a late meal we will stop at Hacienda Xaybe’h where you will enjoy a full buffet meal which includes local dishes, salads, soups and array of local fruits and desserts.

Last but certainly not least – The Amazing Chichen Itza Light and Sound Show – An explosion of energy, lights, music, culture, history and legends fills the main Plaza and surrounds you in a breath-taking exhibition of Mayan culture and art.
